Every great idea begins with a spark, an urge to solve a problem, to make life better, and to create meaningful change. For us at OutSafe, that spark came from recognizing a universal truth: safety is a fundamental need, yet many people feel vulnerable in today’s unpredictable world.
From brainstorming sessions to late-night discussions, OutSafe began as more than just an app; it was a mission. Our goal? Create a tool that empowers people to live without fear, knowing that help is always within reach.
OutSafe is built on three core principles: speed, connection, and reliability.
As students from UdeM and McGill, we know what it’s like to navigate crowded campuses, poorly lit streets, and unfamiliar areas. We wanted to create a solution that addresses these concerns for everyone, whether you’re a student walking home late at night, a traveler exploring new places, or simply someone looking to feel more secure in their day-to-day life.
This is just the beginning. What started as an idea has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. We’re building more than an app, we’re creating a community, a network of people who care about each other’s safety and well-being.
